THE VENDOR HAS SUPPLIED THE FOLLOWING:

According to the UK Mini Cooper Register (MCR) this is the latest production Austin MK2 Cooper ‘S’ in existence. Hence, the latest UK Austin Cooper ‘S’ with the desired old shell type and external door hinges.

Officially it is the 3rd to last off the UK Austin MK2 ‘S’ production line. However, the Mini Cooper Register believe with the other 2 thought to have been destroyed.

Uniquely as a very late MK2, originally this car was painted ‘Bronze Yellow’ as a fore runner to the launch of the ‘Bronze Yellow’ paint code on the MK3 Cooper ‘S’ which followed a few months later. No other mini is known to have this status as a MK2.

Everybody wants either the very first….or the very last!

  • Originally painted ‘Bronze Yellow’ as a production pre-runner, prior to the official colour release for the MK3.

  • History file dating to 1st owner in 1970
