No paperwork.

The vendor has supplied the following:

The vendor of this little Mamod Steam Roller is the Bangers & Cash Restoring Classics team. They write:

When Derek told us we could snap up a Roller for less than a grand …we were naively expecting a bargain Silver Shadow or Phantom which may have needed a few years of welding.

Instead, Derek arrived with a bottle of meths and a tatty cardboard box containing…. a Mk1 1st edition Mamod steam roller. With only one minor fire safety issue, Derek did actually get it steaming along, albeit for a matter of seconds!

Off it trundled (in the boot of a Volvo) to the ‘Steam Workshop’ in Liversedge, West Yorkshire. Simon Hudson and his team are usually found restoring engines a little bigger than ours, but thankfully they said yes to our offer of a miniature steam roller.

Our machine has had a full strip down, assessment, a fresh paint job and has been built back up again with new working parts. It has been the cause of several headaches but they did manage to get it running ….for considerably more than Derek’s few seconds.

Yes, it’s a little temperamental, and we wouldn’t recommend it for re-tarmacing your driveway, but it is very sweet and we hope it will bring the new owner plenty of smiles.

Please note: We do not ship memorabilia items. Please arrange to collect your items in person.
