The vendor has provided the following:

  • A smart example of the charming modern classic panel van, presented in good order throughout, following a sympathetic cosmetic refurbishment some years ago
  • It is powered by a 2.0-litre inline-four XD88 diesel, which drives the front wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox
  • First registered in January 1980, this left-hand drive J7 was imported into the UK and re-registered with the DVLA in January 2020

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES:

  • This J7 features resprayed two-tone red and white paintwork, re-trimmed beige leather seats, and robust wood panelling on the inner doors and load space
  • It rides on a set of white-painted steel wheels with red hubs, wrapped in Michelin tyres
  • Given that it is a classic commercial vehicle, this van’s cabin is relatively free of gadgets and convenience items, though an ashtray is fitted in the top of the dashboard, and a skylight in the load bay helps to provide some additional ventilation
  • The van’s V5C will be included in the sale

CONDITION:

  • There has been no significant damage to the bodywork
  • The resprayed two-tone finish is in good shape, now presenting with some age-related stone chips and hairline cracks
  • Some small patches of corrosion can be seen around the door mirror fixings, the edges of the front bumper, and inside the door shuts
  • Inside, the re-trimmed beige leather upholstery has a few light creases, and the seat rails are slightly discoloured
  • Various minor scratches and scuffs can be seen across the dashboard plastics and steering wheel, which is in line with the vehicle’s age and use
  • The indicator stalk is in need of repair
