The vendor has provided the following:
Ariel 750cc V Twin JAP special. The Ariel was first registered in 1946 and probably started life as a 500cc single. At some point in its life, it has had a V twin side 750cc engine fitted to create a Brough Superior flavour. The JAP engine is likely from the mid-1930s. The gearbox and other running gear remain Ariel. There is no lighting system fitted. It runs on a total loss oil system which uses surprisingly little oil but means only clean oil goes through the engine. The bike was purchased from Andy Tiernan Bikes in Suffolk. The bike is in a running order. The only known fault is that the kickstart lever sometimes jams, but putting it in gear and a quick rock unlocks that. The speedo is from a BMW and does not read accurately but is marked to indicate 20 and 30 mph. The bike has a v5 and that shows it as having a 750cc engine.
