Make: AUSTIN Model: MINI 1000 CITY E Registration: C271 NEG Engine Size (cc): 1000 Year of Manufacture: 1985 Date First Registered: 23/12/1985 MOT Expiry Date: 08/05/2024 Current V5: YES Location: PICKERING
Current V5 present. Paperwork includes previous MOT certificates and a photobook of the makeover.
The vendor has provided the following:
Matilda a Mini City was first registered 23rd December 1985, and has had 7 owners not much is known about her previous life although she had a replacement second-hand engine block and head in 2014 and Stage 1 performance kit fitted (Manifolds, Exhaust, Carb, and K&N Filter).
I bought her in December 2015 with an MOT but looking a bit sad. She was totally stripped and sent to Williams Mini's in Peterborough, where the shell got a new front end, sills, and boot floor (all heritage panels), and then after priming and stone chipping was painted Suft Blue with a white roof.
The engine was stripped and sent to Lyndale Engines in Peterborough where the block was bored 020 the head and block cleaned and inspected, and new pistons and rings fitted. I rebuilt the engine with all new bearings, oil pump, water pump, radiator, and hoses.
The gearbox was rebuilt as standard with new bearings and seals by Trade Transmissions. The car was re-assembled with all new rubber, seals, suspensions, cones, ball joints, CVs, radius arms, and wiring loom. The front subframe is original but the rear is a replacement. All brake components have been replaced.
The interior is from Mini Trimmings.
So, still a genuine car with a stage one kit but all potentially troublesome parts renewed.
