The vendor has provided the following:
The vendor of this 1991 Volkswagen T25 is the Bangers & Cash Restoring Classics team. They write:
We bought this camper in September 2023, just in time to give it a winter glow-up in preparation for the spring/summer long weekends! Though it seems just as rainy now than it did in November.
H297 JUR, now lovingly renamed ‘Bangers Bus’, was shipped down the road to DC Campers near York. They specialise in VW restorations and conversions with knowledge of everything from a split screen to a T6. They quickly diagnosed the left wing mirror missing, corroded window frames, and a broken heater (all signs of some happy camping).
We had some further to-dos lurking elsewhere (it seemed the coolant hadn’t been changed for quite some time) and the chassis needed a spring clean and some winter protection.
Some of the key works done:
Corrosion repairs (window frames, sill, wheel arches, chassis)
New rubber seals
Engine service
Clean chassis and spray underseal Waxoyl coat
Bumpers now with correct colour code (pastel white)
New curtains and reupholstered rear bed and box seat cushion (now in vinyl with a classic fluted stitch!)
Replaced the red stripe around the van
Replaced coolant with with original formula (anti-corrosive) and upgraded the front to back coolant pipes with stainless steel ones
Front and rear red custom mats
Heater blower has been fixed and other electrical repairs within the dash
Newly painted gloss white wheels + new stainless steel moon hubcaps
4 x new tyres
Bed boards have been remade
New wing mirror, aerial & vents
The Bangers Bus now boasts a clean MOT until March 2025 and with 65,000 miles on the clock there’s plenty of life left in it.
With the Easter holidays coming up, why not pack the kids in the back and head off for some wholesome nostalgic fun*!
*The Bangers team cannot be held responsible for any arguments over whose turn it is to empty the loo (untested) or who gets to sleep in the pop up roof.
Please Note: We take great pride in restoring our vehicles but they are classics and will no doubt have imperfections. Please do your own checks before bidding.
