The vendor has supplied the following:

The lady owner drove the vehicle from new until she reached an age when she stopped driving. The car was stored unused in a garage for some years.

Owner number two was a young man who lived next door to owner one. He bought the car in 1991 and carried out extensive renovations and upgrades resulting in the car s it is today.

The car was made far more practical for regular by the following modifications:

  • Replacement 1275cc engine from a Morris Marina
  • MG Metro cylinder head and carburetor
  • Mg Midget gearbox (4-speed)
  • Riley 1500 differential
  • Morris Marina disc brakes and servo
  • Electronic ignition
  • Telescopic rear dampers
  • Front anti-roll bar
  • Morris Minor van wheels

Following restoration the car was stored in a dry and heated garage and was used regularly, including for commuting to work by the owner's wife in good weather.

The car changed hands for the final time in late 2022. The owner two had decided to extend his home by incorporating his large garage into the house. With nowhere to store the car, he decided it was time to pass it on for someone else to enjoy.

Owner three, a close friend of owner 2, had recently retired and was looking for an historic vehicle. After almost a year of ownership, the current owner is planning to replace the Minor with a 1960s Mini similar to his first car.

MOT - last tested October 2022

Service - oil/filter and general service is undertaken Oct 2022 - about 100 miles covered since.

Jobs to do

The speedometer is not calibrated to the current vehicle specification so is not accurate. Alternative methods to measure speed are currently required.

Glove box liner required.
