Current V5 present, paperwork includes buff logbook, a Somerset service manual, MOT certificates, invoices for parts or work carried out on the vehicle, classic motors magazine, and a copy of The Times newspaper from 1953, A40 driver handbook, and The Cassell book of the Austin A40. There's also a sheet of work that has been completed on the Vehicle from 2019-22, a photograph of which will be included in the pictures.

Finished in palm green with tan upholstery. Sold by ourselves previously, this lovely unmolested Somerset benefits from a substantial history folder which includes the green card logbook, handbooks, manuals, and receipts etc. On its arrival, a short test drive revealed no major mechanical faults. In fact, it is a joy to drive.

The vendor has kindly offered the following information:

Work done on Somerset 2019-2022:

1. Fitted new aluminium float to carburettor and Zenith service kit.
2. Fitted 4 new Champion N5C spark plugs
3. 6/19 changed oil and filter using Comma X-Flow Type MOT 20w-50 mineral oil.
4. 6/19 Fitted new distributor cap, rotor arm, points, condenser, HT leads and spark plug cap ends from Austin Counties.
5. July 19 fitted new coil.
6. September 2019 Kurusted and applied Hammerite underbody seal with waxoyl to inner wings.
7. October 2019 changed rear axle oil using Castrol Classic D140 SAE140 non-EP gear oil.
8. November 2019: Drained antifreeze and put inl 3 litres of Comma Super Coldmaster 50-50.
9. May 2020 changed oil and filter.
N.B: gearbox oil is SAE 40 and rear axle and steering box oil is SAE 140
Work done in 2020/2021:
10. Kurusted and waxoyled entire underbody and chassis.
11. Fitted rechromed bottom of door chrome and protection plates (6 pieces in total) to both side with new clips having rustproofed and waxoyled inside all four doors.
12. Fitted 3 new quarterlight seals leaving the nearside rear seal as it did not need replacing but slightly repairing. Fitted new boot seal. All new seals obtained from Peter Jackson of Old Era services of Australia.
13. Fitted second hand manifold and new gasket as the original was cracked and cleaned inlet manifold.
14. Fitted new rear seat ashtrays obtained from Australia, from a 1950s camper.
15. Fitted new Lucas dip switch.
16. Reconditioned leather seats and door card with professional leather renovation kit from Woolies.
17. Stripped back all 5 wheels, rustproofed, undercoated and repainted all.
18. March 21 Got headlights working on dip and full beam by crimping one of the 2 black connectors to the left of the radiator at the top.
19. 1/4/21 Changed oil and oil filter. Used Comma X Flow Type MOT 20w-50 mineral oil and Fram spin on filter.
20. November 2021: new Securon driver's and passenger side static seat belts and rear lap belts fitted.

21. February 2022: Powerspark electronic ignition fitted and new compatible HT leads.
