Current V5 present. Paperwork includes a Toyota wallet containing an Owner's Manual, two Service Record booklets containing 30 stamps, old tax discs, a printed vehicle history check, printed information about the make and model of the vehicle, MOT certificates, a previous V5, a specification booklet, a newspaper clipping, a Haynes Repair Manual, and some invoices for parts and work.

The vendor has provided the following:

1987 Toyota mk.1 MR2 in white. 1587cc petrol.

The vehicle is as purchased ie. with no modifications:

  • The engine has no oil or coolant leaks
  • No power steering
  • New timing belt fitted (receipt in history file)
  • The bodywork is generally in good condition but does require some welding to the underside (floor), not major work I am informed by the garage that carried out MOT
  • The tyres and wheels are all good, spare was repainted

Upon purchasing the car I took it to the local garage used by the previous owner, it required some welding to the driver's side front floor to pass the MOT, which they carried out, I also had the spare wheel repainted. The car was purchased by the first owner's wife for his birthday, he passed away a few years later and she kept it as her only car until illness stopped her driving in 2022.

The vehicle was maintained by a local Toyota dealer (John Rhoe) for some years then the local garage /MOT station carried on looking after it, and any work resulting from MOT failure was carried out by the garage. I used the same garage during my ownership. Unfortunately, the history while the husband owned the car is missing but from the wife owning it a comprehensive file is there I bought the car for my wife, unfortunately, she fell and broke her wrist in 4 places and will never cope with a lack of power steering. It is a lovely car to drive but it has to go.
