Current V5 present. Paperwork includes a VW wallet containing Owner's Manuals, a Service Schedule containing 10 stamps, MOT certificates, a printed HPI check for the vehicle, and various invoices for parts and work.
The vendor has provided the following:
I bought this beautiful Golf Dune Plus from Mathewsons in the February auction this year, as a surprise gift for a friend who was struggling to keep her VW Touran alive after ferrying her sons around in it for 15 years, alas it ended up causing embarrassment as she wants to keep with bigger vehicles going forward, I guess size matters!
If a new car is 100/100, this would be 95/100, averaging less than 2000 miles per year for first 13 years and surely garaged, put simply it looks and drives like a new car. Full VW History while in regular use … garaged and off road roughly two years 2020 and 2021 …used regularly in 2022 and 2023 covering a further 12,000 miles to where it is now, less than 39,000 miles.
Supplied paperwork includes all the VW receipts and service record since new, in April it had a full VW Lookers Darlington VHC which only highlighted a ‘misting’ front right shock absorber and it was due a brake fluid change, both were actioned (£364 invoice printed). For further peace of mind, even though the MOT is not due until December 2024 I have just completed a new one (14 th May) with zero advisories and it passed with flying colours, it is also showing as next service not due for another 4400 miles. Parking sensors were fitted by VW as an extra before the cars initial delivery to the first owner.
It has had two cambelt changes (receipts in the docs), the first one in 2012 and then the last one in 2018 when VW upgraded their cambelts, according to Lookers VW in Darlington the belt is
now good for, as quoted: ‘’With your cambelt being changed in 2018, it has moved onto a long-life interval. This means it's required to be changed 15 years from when it was changed or in 140,000
miles from when it was completed (whichever comes first)’’
I have used it as a spare car and done around 600 miles in it, averaging 59mpg on a long run and around 50mpg around town. It drives so well and is almost like a new car, belying its age, I hope interested people take a good look at it during the viewing period as it is so clean and deserves someone to use it as their main car, why waste 7 times the cost on a new on?
