The vendor of this 1995 Vauxhall Cavalier is the Bangers & Cash Restoring Classics team. They write:
With most of our restoration projects it’s at least 6 months before any of the team might be able to get in and drive it. However, with N960 GGO it was insured, taxed and driven away within the week!
All the crew were amazed at how well Luton’s finest coped with approximately 1000 miles of North Yorkshire B roads and plenty of M1 junctions. The engine temperature was always perfect and it didn’t seem to use a drop of oil.
It even managed a trip to the Santa Pod Raceway carrying all of the crew’s camera gear and attracted plenty of attention from the owners of much hotter Vauxhalls.
It didn’t need much work at all, but we have given it a
New clutch bearing
Repaired rusty sill with new and colour matched the paint
New rear springs
Machine polish
New mats
Code for the radio
We also put it through another MOT which it passed with flying colours and is valid until July 2025.
The car has been described by Kel Muers, of the Classic Car Workshop as the best driving car he’s ever had in the workshop!
All the work has been filmed for an upcoming series of Restoring Classics.
Please Note: We take great pride in restoring our vehicles but they are classics and will no doubt have imperfections. Please do your own checks before bidding.
