Current V5 present. Paperwork includes Ford wallet containing owners hanbook and service book with 18 stamps, MOT certificates, and invoices.

The vendor has provided the following:

  • 1988 Ford Orion Ghia 1.6 Injection F150 LJB
  • This is a 3-owner vehicle. The first owner kept the car for c.27 years, the second for 5 years, and I have owned it for 5 years.
  • The car is really well presented in the desirable Mercury Grey with excellent history and one of the best MOT histories I’ve seen on any car, let alone a 37-year-old one with 85,000 (genuine) miles

In my ownership, alongside regular servicing, I have renewed the following:

  • Radiator
  • Clutch
  • Alternator
  • Battery
  • Rotor arm
  • Distributor cap
  • Spark plugs
  • Plug leads
  • NOS Ford mudflaps (£200)
  • Bonnet repainted (stone chips)
  • Ceramic coating
  • X4 GoodYear tyres (2024)
  • The car is in standard factory specification, with the only add-ons being the genuine Ford accessory driving lamps and the RS rear boot spoiler, both of which were fitted by the supplying dealer when new
  • The spare wheel, I believe, has never been on the car and still wears its original Pirelli P400 tyre from the factory
  • The only thing is the rippled A-pillar trim, as per most Escort mk4-based vehicles
  • I’ve done quite a few decent journeys, the last one being to the Ford Nationals in Coventry in July ‘25
  • All in all, a beautiful example of a rare car in standard form, I don’t want to sell it, but as they say, “You can’t keep ‘em all”
