Current V5 present. Paperwork includes previous V5s, various MOT certificates, vehicle tax reminder, Bedford Rascal drivers manual, Bedford Rascal service book with 15 stamps, and numerous invoices.

The highest bid at the end of the auction will be submitted to the vendor for their consideration.

The vendor has provided the following:

Bedford Rascal Camper - E986 EOO

Basking in the Pickering lot, alongside surf-ready T5s and old school Split Screens, it felt everything had been put through a 60 degree wash and came out half size or were we just standing further away than we thought? But here - in theory - was everything you needed for a holiday for two: Bed, sink, cooker, dinner table…just add spaghetti hoops and some Filey drizzle.

Despite the waft of stale semi-synthetic, damp corduroy curtains and heavy disdain from Derek (he doesn’t understand our definition of automotive excellence) producer Holly was undeterred and beat off stiff competition to win unlimited holidays of a lifetime.

Post-auction the Rascal’s first expedition was in the back of a trailer to Darlington and the happy campers at Classic Car Workshop. They’d previously worked on an original AC Cobra so were operating at an appropriate level for our late 80s Bedford.

Work includes:

  • More welding than we expected!
  • Bottom half respray
  • New curtains, cushions, carpet
  • Seat repair
  • Replacement head unit
  • Tyres and hub caps
  • Oil leak fix
  • Service
  • New back box
  • Fresh MOT

We hope you will have some wonderful holidays in our little Rascal (or ‘Minibago’) which is now ready for any adventure you throw at it but we do suggest you pack ear defenders for the journey and maybe organise the route back via a chiropractor.

PLEASE NOTE: We take great pride in restoring our cars but they are classics, they will not be immaculate and they will no doubt need ongoing maintenance and repair. We suggest you make your own checks first.
