The Auburn Speedster was produced in the USA to compete with such names as 'Cord' and 'Buick.'

Often favoured by film stars of the day, the model proved unpopular with the general public.

Famous golfers were given the car to promote and a side hatch was created for the golfer's clubs etc! Some of the golfers even went to the extreme of arriving in the car on the first green!

The great depression hit and Auburn cut everything to the bone thinking that 'cheap' prices were the answer. This unfortunately back fired as the US public thought that the cars couldn't possibly be any good as they were half the price of anything else in the same bracket!

Straight 8 and twin speed rear axel allowed these cars to reach speeds in excess of 100mph.

The two factory test drivers would then record the date and speed achieved. This would then be placed on a plaque inside the car.

This V8 replica was commissioned at great expense in the late 80's (£100,000!) by a company executive and remained in his ownership for many years until his return to the USA.

This is a stunning looking motor car with modern mechanics for 20% of the cost of the real thing!!!!

Priced in our showroom at £99,995 and nobody questions the price !!!!
